Archive: Guitar No. 37, classical multiscale 7 string

Multiscale guitars or "fanned fret" guitars as they are sometimes called have a different scale length for each of the strings. This is desirable for guitars with extended bass range because bass strings sound and intonate better when they are longer.  This guitar has scale lengths that range from 640 mm for the first string (high e) to 660 mm for the 7th string (low B).

Made with Cocoblo rosewood back and sides, bearclaw European spruce top, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Spanish cedar neck and spalted maple with cocobolo rosette.
